I like to present these small paintings (on canvas), framed in my hand made, real wood, frames. Since the canvas was painted while it was stretched, it is trimmed, then it lays completely flat without having to permanently mount it to a substrate. I cut my own mats and hinge the canvas similar to a piece of paper with archival Lineco linen tape The work on canvas provides durability. Unlike work on paper, the canvas will never ripple.
I use the highest quality 4 ply mats (face and backing boards), acid free foamcore (as a filler, insulator), Tru Vue conservation clear glass (99% UV protection).
The final presentation of quality is the back of the piece. The frame is finished on all sides. The outermost backing is Formica (for durability) secured with one inch turn buttons, so the customer can easily change the artwork themselves.
The back of the canvas and back of the mat have the title, date and my name, plus signature on the back of the canvas. I print a card with all of the information, put it in a clear archival sleeve that is adhered with silicone to the Formica (so it can be easily removed or will stay put forever).
All of the materials involved, from the meticulously prepared Fredrix canvas to the professional grade Liquitex, Winsor & Newton, and Golden paint, to the hardware on the back are of the highest quality, professional grade.

Meticulously prepared canvas.
Formica backing with 0ne inch turn buttons.
Information card for the back will be signed.
